£10 Mobile Phones

I just bought a £10 Nokia 1208 and I am totally amazed at what you get. Not only does £10 get you a fully functioning phone, its also very easy to use and comes with some impressive features...
It can phone and txt and has mp3 ringtones - not sure if you can add your own or not as there appears to be no way of connecting it to a PC... It has a speaker phone - very useful especially when using those automated call centers! It has all the features you would expect from a more expensive phone, a calculator, the useful converter program, a stopwatch, count down timer, calender, reminders and best of all games. Yes snake is there and its one of the better versions as its pretty much as it was when it was first made on the old black and white screens!
My favourite feature however is the built in LED torch at the top of the phone. Its incredibly bright and is a very useful feature that more expensive models such as the 6300 and even the N-series do not have!
The menus are great. The screen is quite low resolution, but it is bright and colours have great contrast and the menus themselves are beautifully created. I felt right at home even after having used a higher model Nokia for some time!
There are limitations. There is no camera, no picture messaging, no bluetooth nor IRDA. There appears to be some sort of USB at the bottom, but the manual states this is for qualified repair use... We'll see about that!
So whats the verdict? Well its a really great phone, ok it feels a bit cheap in your hand as the plastic is decidedly naff, but at the end of the day it cost £10!! - This is a good point because its actually cheaper to buy this phone than buying a replacement charger for a Nokia phone... The charger for a Nokia 6300 is £14 and the charger in the 1208 package is identical for £10 and you get a free phone! Summed up, this phone is a bargain!
